harold and the purple crayon

Big man M is busy watching his dvds of Harold and the Purple Crayon and Baby Noah this morning (while antagonizing the cats, as usual), giving Mommy some time at the computer... rough life for toddlers these days. It's doing a bit of light snowing here, and we have a "Winter Storm Warning" in effect for today, but not looking too stormy yet. The defrocked Christmas tree sits on the deck waiting to be put at the curb, poor thing. J is off at school (sigh), once again. He and I have been reading "A Wrinkle in Time" for the past few nights. Fun for me, but I'm not sure he's really gotten into it yet. Mrs. Whatsit came into the plot last night, so I'm hoping he'll be intrigued enough to let us stick with it. He's more interested in the Droon series that Michael checks out from the library... drole little stories about three young friends that travel to another realm through a door under the basement steps. How original (insert sarcasm). Michael rode his bike to work this morning... he has yet to accept my offer of a ride, despite the weather. We'll see what happens once a real blizzard hits, although I think he gets some kind of manly satisfaction from braving the elements. Whatever. I like my seat-warmers!

That's it for now.

I'll try to post pictures today, if I can figure out how.

happy 2005... and here goes.

Thought I'd try out this "blogging"... not really sure what it's all about. I'd like to have a place to share with family and friends. Just not feeling so good about the rest of the world looking on. Could be interesting. Or not. Worth a try, though. Here goes nothing...
