This was the boys' first trip to Niagara Falls (Canada side). I wish I could convey how impressive they are through the photographs, but unfortunately the roar of the water doesn't quite come across!

Friday, September 8... at the Whirlpool

we stopped at the Whirlpool below the falls first...

Thursday, September 7... arriving in Canada

Upon our arrival to the B&B where we stayed in Canada, we witnessed a spectacular sunset from the lakeshore... right across the street.


the sun was actually a deep shade of red in person
happy to be out of the car... although the 6 1/2-hour drive was fun for the boys with gameboys and DVD player all hooked up

and the end of a good day

have to get our "outside time" in... the weather was still beautiful, so the boys were outside, checking out ants and flowers...

Tuesday, September 5... the First Day of School!

J is ready for school bright and early (not by choice)... even this early in the year, it's still dark when he gets on the bus

Labor Day weekend at the campground

The boys went "camping" with Grandma over Labor Day... in a cabin with water and electricity. :) Sounds like they had lots of fun hiking, swimming and playing on the playground and at the beach!
